The trip to Disneyland was planned months in advance. What I didn’t know is that my sister got us park hop passes to Disneyland and California Adventure. Had I known about the Disney World of Color show at California Adventure I would have brought a better camera.

Trying to describe the spectacle of this show is like trying to describe fireworks to someone who has never seen them before. The video doesn’t do the show justice – its just too big to capture. And, if you’re like my kids, and want to be in the front row by the water – you might want to leave the expensive camera behind anyway. The wind happened to be blowing from the water towards us that night and we got soaked – but no complaints, the whole experience was awesome.

This is shot from my iPhone, and then (when it got too wet) I switched to a Nikon Coolpix camera. The video quality blows, but I wanted to share it with anyone who has not heard of this show (I hadn’t) and encourage you to go if you go to Disneyland / California Adventure. A word to the wise, get to the park when it opens and immediately go and get a “fast pass” to the world of color show. It’s a bit of a pain, but it is worth it.
